I got to meet this rockin family a few months ago during this family session that I shot for Lana’s parents, and had been looking forward to her family’s individual session for quite some time. In many cases, it’s up to me to pick the location and kind of set the tone for the session {props, blankets, etc.}, but I was THRILLED to find that Lana and I were on the exact. same. page. Rustic quilt? Check. Grassy field? Check. Gorgeous sun and cool weather? Double check. This was one of the funnest {mom, I know that’s not a real word} shoots I have ever done and I am so lucky to have worked with this adorable family twice now.
This is soooo Blayke — she is her own person, she does her own thing, and she’s pretty much the funniest little gal I know.

Sweet siblings. This reminds me of my sis, during that small window in our youth where we actually got along! {lol}
Now this one warms my heart. It’s a tiny glimpse of the relationship that they have and the bond that will keep them coming back to moments like these for many years. I can imagine a similar photo of them taken decades from now, chatting each other up like only sisters can.

I had to end on my FAVORITE picture from the session. Maybe it’s because these two are just too darn cute. Maybe it’s because moments like these weren’t exactly easy as pie to make happen capture, or maybe it’s because I’m missing my own sister as I type this, but I love this shot. Love. L-O-V-E. I truly hope that Reese and Blayke can look back at this photo when they are older and remember that they’ve always had a best friend in their sister.

Oh my goodness!!!…those are so beautiful, they brought tears to my eyes. I am fortunate to claim this beautiful family as my own. Lana is my niece…my much loved niece!…and yes, Reese and Blaykie are absolutely adorable! JP?…well..hmmmm…Yes, we love him too! lol Just couldn’t leave without telling you how awesome your work is!
