Sometimes, as a photographer, you are lucky enough to meet clients who quickly turn into friends. That is exactly what happened for me when I met Faren and Jeff over Starbucks that first time, going over the details of their wedding and relishing in the fact that we share the same alma mater ~ Wreck Em! Because I am selective in choosing the weddings that I shoot, my chemistry with the couple matters to me a lot; so the whole Red Raider thing totally sealed the deal for me 🙂 I knew that their engagement session was going to be so much fun and we were all looking forward to it.
…until the skies opened up about 10 minutes before our shoot, spilling what must have been the only rain we have gotten all summer. The storm passed rather quickly so we decided to take our changes in capturing some shots while we still could. They got all dressed up, so why not?! After battling rain clouds, mud puddles, humidity, a nosey horse, and nightfall, mother nature decided to seal the deal and send some more rain our way. We called it quits for the night, but not before snapping some sweet pics.
Can you tell that Jeff has been practicing his GQ poses? Work it! Photoshoot #2 proved to be much better, with a warm, golden light that I love about summer evenings. And yes, they decided to start with Tech attire for their first outfit combo. LOVING it 🙂 And just wait until you see Faren’s awesome boots!I decided to sneak in a shoot #1 pic with the ‘cedar post’ pic…seemed to go together 🙂 Faren, you are beautiful. Plain and simple.Told ya. Pretty rockin’ boots, huh? I may be a little biased 🙂Again, so pretty.Again with the killer poses, both of you!
Thank you so much for TWO amazing sessions, and for dealing with the rain, sharp blades of grass, moments of overwhelming sun, climbing rocky hills and crossing busy highways. The two of you are pretty friggin amazing, and pretty friggin amazing together.
