I am going to jump right on into the Thread because I am super excited to share these with ya 🙂
1. Happy Birthday, Tess Girl! Yep, my little big slobbery, floppy-eared, doesn’t-want-to-get-out–of-bed-in-the-morning, white bundle of puppy goodness is 2 years old today. Last year, we were those people and threw a party for her and her best pals. That was a first birthday only kind of thing 🙂 so this year, I plan to take her for a girls day out to celebrate — groomer, Petsmart for a treat, and maybe get some cake and ice cream for after dinner. We adore our sweet girl and we want to spoil her rotten today because I don’t know that there is another doggie out there that’s as great as she is. And I’m not at all biased. This morning, I snapped a few photos of her in the birthday hat that my sister made last year. Thanks, aunt Linds! Oh and Huck is going to need one of these for his bday next month…
2.Pin to Project. After making our collage wall, I decided to move on to Pinterest craft projects 2 and 3. These projects have been on my to-do list since I first clicked “Pin It” and I finally completed them. I was able to get all of the materials I needed for both projects from none other than Hobby Lobby, and for less than $25. Not too shabby, huh?! Here is what I made:
3. Oh Martha. She really did it this time. The latest issue of Martha Stewart Living is the bomb. Dot. Com. She must have gotten wind of my disapproval over the last issue 🙂 This one is packed full of goodies: yummy meals and desserts, pot pies to die for, dozens of fall and Halloween party ideas, I could go on and on. Here are a few snippets that I just had to share with you: A) You can browse and print from dozens of pumpkin-carving patterns at marthastewart.com/pumpkins-101, and there are some awesome ones! B) Use Avery’s awesome products {you know Avery, the label makers} to spice up your treats this season — arched bottle labels, printable tags, round labels {for your cupcake toppers!}, and printable bag toppers. C) If you like ice cream, you MUST get this month’s issue and try Martha’s caramel apple sundae recipe. Think hollowed apple + vanilla ice cream + caramel sauce + walnuts. Um, yum.
4. Giveaway Time! I know it seems like I get paid to talk about how much I love Martha Stewart Living, but the sad truth is that it all comes from the heart. And I want to share the love with ya: a 1-Year Subscription to Martha Stewart Living! Please comment on this post {or on FB under this post’s link} and let me know why you love Martha Stewart Living/Crafts/Collection/Weddings/Any other piece of awesomeness she creates. I will randomly pick a winner and announce it in next week’s Thread.
5. Etsy. I have been browsing and buying off Etsy like a crazy person lately. I always knew it existed, but holy cow, I just never really knew what awesomeness it had until I really dove in and started searching. I found an awesome wedding ‘gift’ for my sis {shhh, it’s a secret}, a genius lingerie shower gift to give her {that’s a secret too…}, adorable baby hats and blankets for shoots, the cutest yellow and white twine to incorporate into my CD packaging, and about 1,000 other things I could deplete my PayPal account for. Head over there and check it out. Like, now! 🙂
I hope you all have a wonderful rest of the week! And don’t forget to comment here/on Facebook to win the Martha Stewart Living magazine giveaway!! 🙂

I also LOVE the wreath! I am not a huge fan of wreaths but this one is right up my alley. How long does it take to make? I might attempt.

Although I know that Martha’s ideas are usually unrealistically attainable, I love how clean and organized everything is. Clutter free design is something I aspire to, and right now, because I live in an apartment and not a house, I feel like I have a LOT of clutter. Maybe Martha’s got some good ideas for how to hide things?
PS The first wreath I made via an Etsy inspiration did NOT look as good as yours. Well done!

I love Martha because she takes familar items and transforms the mood with modern chic, classic design. I love the mixture of design eras through her combination of antiques, color pallets and lines- she’s great! Not to mention, her recipes are fantastic crowd pleasers from formal dining to simple snacks 🙂 The best thing about Martha is that she has so many different interests and talents she shares with all of our crafty souls!… Each magazine, blog, article and insightful inspiration from her fills our lives with smiles.
Happy Crafting!
Ps-not to mention she is a pretty savy business woman;)
