1. Woohoo! Ask me why I’m excited. Go ahead…. Ok I’ll tell you. My sisters AND my parents are coming to visit this weekend!! EEEEEKKK!! My lovely little sis is engaged and we are all getting together to attend their engagement party. It is kind of like the kickoff for their wedding festivities {even though they have been engaged for 8 months already}. Most of my family is in the DFW area and my sis hasn’t been back to Texas since she moved to Chicago about 9 months ago. Needless to say, they don’t get to visit much, so I am pretty excited to get to see all of them. At the same time 🙂 It is sure to be one heck of a fun-tastic weekend!
2. Paper Perfect. Next week, look for a post introducing the company and very talented designer/friend behind these little beauties. I honestly cannot wait to tell you all about them and share some of her beautiful designs with you!
3. Most Likely To Become a Total Rockstar. I was watching Ellen yesterday, like I usually do {I like the background noise while I work} and saw this young lady perform during the show — Christina Grimmie. She is pretty much one of the most talented people I’ve seen in a while; kind of reminds me of a mix between Christina Aguilera, Adele, and Nora Jones. Check out her version of Lil Wayne’s song How to Love. Ah-mazing, right?! You can look her up on YouTube and watch her belt out familiar tunes, or head to iTunes where her debut CD is a mere $5.99!
4. Repurposed. I promised you here that I would share the fab table Troy made for me {out of pallet wood}, so here it is…love!
5. Camera Crazy. Do you own a flashy camera with more bells and whistles than you know what to do with?? And do you know how to fully utilize them to give you those awesome photos you dreamt of when you purchased/received that flashy camera? I have had some inquiries lately — from clients, friends, and the like — on how to better understand the DSLR camera and gain valuable tips and tricks for shooting outside of ‘Auto’ mode. Everything from which lenses to buy to what printer to use, the hobbyist photographer can definitely face some tough challenges. Capturing photos of your baby’s birthday party, still life shots of your vacation, or even better — those candid moments amid life’s chaos — those are the shots that a professional photographer probably won’t be around to capture and those are the shots that you want to get. It’s really what you paid for with all those bells and whistles, right?! Sooooo, if you or someone you know may be interested in taking part in a little get-together luncheon for curious camera owners, let me know! Shoot me an email, post a comment here, or contact me through Facebook. I am considering hosting a small ‘class’ to answer your questions and share some knowledge, BUT I need to know how much of an interest there is before I totally delve into it {in true Chelsea fashion} 🙂
Have a wonderful day, folks — oh, and check back tomorrow for a sneak peek of my session with the Brewers!
