1. Do You Hear What I Hear? I have been hearing A LOT lately about some changes coming to Facebook that will affect my fanpage AND your ability to see updates, promos, sneak peeks — anything that I post! If you are not an active fan of Chelsea Davis Photography on Facebook, i.e. actively liking, commenting, or tagging photos and posts, then on 10/31 you will no longer be able to see my FB updates in your newsfeed! That is no bueno if you want to be clued in on all the CDP latest; I sure don’t want you to miss out. So PLEASE head over to Facebook {click here or use the Facebook tab over there to the left} and LIKE something, anything. Or better yet, post a comment — I love to read them! Thanks folks 🙂
2. Holiday Gift Promos. While we’re on a roll with important announcements, I better go ahead and share some holiday promos with ya. There aren’t many gifts that I truly LOVE giving. Ever since I was little though, I always knew that giving my mom a special photo would make her day. She didn’t care much about another bottle of perfume or that purple velour track suit. She wanted memories, or snapshots of memories. And I loved gifting them to her. In fact, if I have the opportunity to give someone a special photo, I usually do; birthday, anniversary, Christmas — you name it. People don’t always add photos to their Christmas list because let’s face it, it’s hard to compete with an iPad, Ugg boots, or the new Bieber CD. But you know as well as I do that quality photos are gifts that people will love long after the iPad dies, those boots go out of style, and Bieber’s voice starts to crack…{hehe jk}. I will be offering a few different holiday promos but the first one is for prints: from now until December 9th, I am offering 15% off all prints and free shipping on print orders over $50. Email me at chelsea@chelseadavisphoto.com to place your order!
3. Raider Power. Shoutout to my Red Raiders for one heck of a win last weekend! We pulled out all the stops to beat No.3 ranked OU…in Norman, where they had a 39 game winning streak! This fan is happy happy, and I hope we can keep the momentum going. And heck, being ranked isn’t bad either. WRECK EM!
4. WTH, Housewives? I admit it, the past year or so I have gotten pretty hooked on the mind-numming ‘reality’ series that is the Real Housewives of ___. I actively watched {and recorded} the wives of Jersey and NY, and occasionally watched Atlanta, OC, and Beverly Hills. Last week, Part 2 of the Jersey reunion aired and it was a friggin blood bath. I have actually found myself to get quite annoyed with it and vowed to my hubby that I would no longer watch these shows…hmmm. It made me realize though, that there are women who although they physically get older, they definitely do NOT grow up. And trust me, that doesn’t just apply to Jersey. As women, we should support each other, in every sense of the word, don’t you think!? It’s really sad 🙁 Ok…enough soap box for me 🙂
5. HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY HUCKABOO!! I will end this week’s Thread with a shoutout for our little black furball. Today is my little guy’s birthday…my 75lb black lab 🙂 Yes, we celebrate puppy birthdays around here — don’t judge! We don’t have kiddos yet, so we spoil our furry children in the meantime 🙂 I was planning on having a little birthday party like we did for Tess’ first birthday, but I have been sick as a dog lately {no pun intended} so it will have to wait until next week. I do plan on taking him on his birthday trip to PetSmart to pick out a treat though, duh. A month ago, I took Tess for her bday and Huck cried and cried when we left. I wonder how he will do on his first PetSmart outing when Tess is the one left behind…? I digress. Happy happy happy birthday mister Huck! You’re the sweetest, most cuddly, loyal little thing and your happy face makes my day 🙂 A post isn’t a post without a pic or two, so here are a few of the birthday boy:
Have a wonderful day!
