I know I know. I said this would be up on Friday, but my To-do list turned into quote a monster by the end of the week and I had to delay sharing this with you until today. This week will be full of posts though, so buckle up and get ready!
As I mentioned here, Megan and JP’s wedding was a beautiful, romantic, love-filled event and we felt so lucky to be there and be part of their special day. Love was everywhere you looked — the emotional ceremony, the first dance, and among the guests {particularly the little ones!} — just see for yourselves! So finally, here are some of my favorite images from their Dripping Springs Wedding…
This is when the waterworks started for me. Can you see how much JP loves his bride?!Instead of sand, a candle, or another traditional unity symbol, JP and Megan thought up one the most original idea I had ever seen. They each had their own cross — JP’s a wooden cross {made by his dad, if I remember correctly}, and Megan’s an iron cross {which they also had made}. They two crosses fit together and were secured into place during the ceremony to make one beautiful, lasting symbol of unity and love. Mr. and Mrs. LeCompte!See those awesome rustic flower boxes? JP handmade each and every one of them from old fence wood. Talk about dedication! These gifts turned out the be all the rave at the reception. I hid mine to make sure it made it safely home with me 🙂And there it is — my nephew’s FIRST KISS! I told you love was all around this wedding! The exit: a comical yet perfect depiction of them — JP, prepared for the intense confetti tornado, methodically planning his exit, and Megan, facing it head-on, unsuspecting and possibly a little too trusting of the ‘overzealous’ crowd…
I’ve said it before, but I will say it again — congratulations Megan and JP! We had so much fun at your wedding and felt so blessed to be a part of it all. We wish you all the best!!
