The Wesleys | Houston Family Photographer

I was thrilled to finally get the chance to work with Jessica and her family last month because we had started the booking process all the way back in June! But with the overwhelmingly hot Houston summer in front of us, we opted to postpone for cooler weather {such a good plan!} and I couldn’t wait to finally put a face with the emails we exchanged 🙂 And weren’t they worth the wait? Adorable 🙂

This little blondie is Levi — curious, adventurous, independent Levi 🙂 He made me work a little for his smiles and a shot of those gorgeous eyes, but I’d take the challenge any day! Best eyes ever.Canvas? I think so!This is the lovely Alexandra, sure to be a heartbreaker one day 🙂 So pretty, and as polite as they come!

The Wesleys were so awesome during their session and I had such a great time spending the morning with them. But ya want to know what the craziest and possibly most entertaining part of the shoot was {I bet the Wesleys agree}? The park squirrels! Not only are they the size of cats, they are intrepid little varmints. A passing cyclist was generous enough to give us an entire backpack of peanuts to feed the squirrels with — possibly a curse and a blessing all in one 🙂 I have a phobia of rodents and although squirrels are kinda cute, they still freak me out. But I have to admit that it was pretty darn cool to watch David feed them out of his hand! And the kiddos got a kick out of it too 🙂

Pretty amazing {and kinda scary}, huh? 🙂 Thanks for a wonderful session, Wesleys! It was so great to finally meet you and I hope you love your images — I think the squirrel ones are definitely mantle material LOL.
