1. Lovey Dovey. I can’t believe that February is almost here, though stores like Hobby Lobby, Target, and HEB have been reminding us of it since Christmas ended. Of course, Pinterest is on the same bandwagon, flooded with all things red, hearts, and love {which isn’t necessarily a bad thing!}. I have been trying to weed through the ‘festive’ stuff in search of my next Pinterest-inspired craft project though, and I think I may have found it this morning, thanks to Brooke Martin’s original pin. I am thinking more of an ombre effect with the colors instead, in my business’ yellow; whataya think?? I’m pretty sure this is going on my to-do list for this weekend 🙂
2. Window Shopping. In last week’s workshop post, I mentioned The Sugared Plums in the list of contributing vendors, and I want to take a tiny moment and tell you how much I really REALLY LOVE their Etsy shop. They have the cutest personalized photo frames and the BEST customer service. I kid you not, shop owner Becky is top notch. I love how you can personalize your frame, from the colors to the quote, it can be completely customized to your style. I picked out about 10 designs that I want to hang in my home, but due to lack of wall space, must refrain from pushing ‘buy’ on all of them. Here are some of my faves:
3.Shoot! My creative bug has been biting lately and I am itching to work on my next styled shoot. I have a few ideas that are in the works, and have already started the ‘wheel-turning’ process with some very exciting new vendors. Two totally different, but super fun shoots are on the inspiration board, one in the Houston area and the other in DFW, so if you would like to model, help out, or contribute in any way, shoot me an email and I can share some of the details 🙂
4. Texas Coast. The Hubs and I have been talking recently about doing a little one-night getaway to Galveston. I have only been twice my whole life; in college for New Years and then for our friends’ engagement party. That’s it, folks! I know, I can hardly believe it myself, but regardless, we are trying to sneak down there in early March. I know that most of you guys have been, probably several times, so help a girl out and let me know your thoughts on where to stay, what to do, where to eat, shop, grab a drink, and relax 🙂 I have NO CLUE where to start!
5. Sprucing Things Up. I have slowly been working on changing up some of the rooms in our house and I think they are coming along nicely {especially the living room, thanks to that fab chair find!}. Much to my husband’s dismay, I think I really want to repaint now…like, everything. Living room, dining room, entry, kitchen — everything. I am so safe when it comes to color and almost always go to neutrals. The only room in our house that has color is my office, and that is painted in Martha Stewart’s Hydrangea blue. I don’t think I will ever stray far from the neutrals, but I definitely want to add some more color where I can, and take things up a notch. Troy is going hunting for a few days in February and I think that may be the perfect time for me to spruce up our walls…anyone down for a paint party??
Alright, that’s enough random thought for one day — back to the grindstone I go! Have a happy Thursday!!

I’d love to help with a style shoot if I am avaiable.
For Galveston, stay at the San Luis or the Galvez- so historical and beautiful. Be sure to visit the strand district (my visit here http://www.clickthegoodnews.com/2010/06/05/the-strand/), check out the 1900 hurricane museum & the Sailing ship the Elissa. You can take the ferry over to Boliver and/or see the submarine museum if that sort of thing interests you. Moody Gardens can be neat if you want to do an aquarium or the weather is nasty. Have fun!
