I will be hitting the road tomorrow to attend theFIX – a meet-and-greet/presentation/evening of awesomeness among photogs, hosted by none other than THE Jasmine Star. I love her work, her style, and how open she is with others in her industry. In fact, her words of encouragement actually helped me make the final decision to go full time with my photography business. True story, folks. It involved an Andrea Bocelli song, a j* blog post, a glass of wine, and me — a blubbering idiot. I’ll tell ya about it some time 🙂 I, along with SO MANY others, really look up to her and admire what she has been able to do for herself by following her dreams and thinking big. To hear her speak tomorrow will be a dream come true and I am beyond excited! Plus, a few bonuses with my trip to Dallas: getting to reunite with some friends I met at a photography workshop last year, catching up with my BFF while in town, and lunch with my mom on the way back home. I’d say that’s a pretty dang good way to spend 24 hours!
