Lissa and I have been planning their shoot since November, so I was thrilled to meet them on a beautiful spring morning to finally photograph their lovely family, complete with the sweetest pup, Otis. Aside from being stalked mob-style by gargantuan vultures {seriously, every time we turned around a vulture appeared in our trail, staring us down as we walked briskly away, only to find another scavenger waiting for us up ahead!}, we had a really casual, really nice time together walking around the quiet park. Lissa described her family as happy, loving, funny, sentimental, and very close, and it was so easy to capture that —the essence of their close-knit family— because you can see just how much they adore each other. Really, the amount of hugs going around that morning would make a carebear jealous. I sure was 🙂
