I have been out of town this week visiting my sis-in-law, who is patiently waiting for her sweet little baby boy to make his debut. I enjoyed getting to spend time together for the first time in quite a while, just catching up, talking about life before baby makes three, and indulging in way too many sugary treats. Before I knew it though, Thursday was here and now I’m headed back home, sadly. BUT, Thursday also means Thread time {yippee!}, so here we go again…
1. Reminder — April is Still Autism Awareness Month. Each Thread in April, I am going to kick things off with a little reminder about Autism Awareness this month, and the giveaway that I am having. You can read more here and here. NOTE: You can submit someone else as the give-away recipient; it doesn’t have to be you! What a wonderful gift, right?
2. Shoutout to Sugar. I’m giving lots of love to all things sugary and sweet today, because they seem to make everything better. Cupcakes, cookies, milkshakes, Starbucks fraps {extra caramel, right Jo?}, and more cupcakes — the perfect remedy for a frown, or a bad case of [hospital] cabin fever. It’s also a pretty awesome way to cheat on your diet. Sooo worth the calories for some smiles and sugar-induced fits of laughter 🙂
3. Say ‘No’ to Carpel Tunnel. I’m probably way out of the loop, so I am asking out of curiosity and personal frustration: somewhere in ap land, does there exist an amazingly innovative ap that lets you talk into your phone while it converts your spoken words into text that you can copy and paste? One would think something like this exists since cell phones can do everything from teaching you a foreign language to finding your keys and addressing you by name. I tried to find such an ap and came up short, so because my poor fingers desperately need a break, I am hoping that somewhere out there is a person who can help a girl out. Puhleeze!
4. CDP Notes. We have had some gorgeous days lately, which have made for some AMAZING photography weather {thank you, Mother Nature!}, and I think that has gotten people thinking about updating their family portrait. That said, I wanted to give you all a heads up that May is all booked up, but I am now taking bookings for the rest of June through August. I must say though, I am so proud of all of you; it seems like you are getting your sessions booked early this year 🙂 Kudos! Shoot me an email if you want to secure a summer spot, because before you know it, fall will be here! On another note, I am going to be organizing another Photo 101 class for summer, so let me know if you would like to be on the list to receive the class info as it all comes together. We already have some exciting things in store!
5. Shopping Cart. I haven’t been shopping in quite a while, but have been scoping out a few things in the online market lately. Gotta love favorites lists and growing shopping carts that are never emptied! A few recent finds: These doggie beds are awesome and if I can convince Troy to do it, I just may click ‘Buy’ on two of these bad boys. Speaking of Troy, or guys in general, would these not be perfect man gifts? Love them! As you may have seen, I have a brand new niece, and I am secretly thrilled to buy her cute clothes and accessories, like these adorable shoes. Any of them will do! I also am expecting another sweet nephew, so I think I need to start doing some major shopping, wouldn’t you say?!
Have a great rest of the week everyone!!

I think there are a few aps that type as you talk. Try searching “talk n type” or something like that. Also, you could google search it for tips on which ones are good. Thanks again for coming and staying in the hospital with me! Love you!

Well, I have an iPhone 4s, so I use Siri. But, I think there’s an app called Dragon Dictation that does that… and I believe it’s free. 🙂
