Hi there! I hope you are enjoying this beautiful Thursday and are ready for this week’s Thread! I’ve got all kinds of randomness for you 🙂
1. Ok, Go. I have been working like crazy these last few months and it seems that I am managing business and personal stuff about as successfully as a one-armed juggler. I am finally seeing a light at the end of this long tunnel though, thanks to lots of patience, having fabulous clients, the most understanding family and friends, and a hubby who knows exactly when it’s time to ‘get away’. Folks, the Davis’ are heading to Seattle! And this girl is happy happy happy. We are planning for a few days in the Emerald City and are overwhelmed with possible things to do — kayaking in the Puget Sound, watching the fish throwers at Pike’s Place Market, traveling to the top of the Space Needle, or {my personal preference} taking a day trip to Vancouver, Canada. Anyone have some recommendations for us? We leave in a few weeks — help help help!
2. I’ve Got A Proposal For You. Troy sent me the link for this unique marriage proposal and I thought I would share it with you guys. It’s pretty original {and quite daring!}, so I give kudos to the guy for thinking it up, but I would really hate to be the girl standing in line behind Sarah Cooper… While we are sharing unique wedding proposals, have you happened to see this one? Oh my. it’s kind of a tear-jerker, and one of my faves!
3. Groupon. I recently learned what this little gem called Groupon was all about, and I am kind of in love. Troy told me about it {he has been quite helpful lately, huh?} when he bought a Groupon for one of our favorite restaurants, and I have been keeping an eye out for other awesome deals on their site. I love how they feature everything from restaurants to spa days, concerts and getaways…and I admit that I have taken advantage of a few Groupons myself these last few days 🙂
4. Early Bird. I know it seems a little premature, but start thinking about scheduling your end-of-summer and early fall photo sessions! I am planning to do my Halfway to the Holidays promo in a few weeks, so keep an eye out; it’s one of my favorite promos of the year, and I have some fun stuff lined up this go-around 🙂
5. Thread Tunes. I originally wasn’t going to do a Thread Tunes mention this week, but right before I clicked ‘publish’, I got a text from my sis-in-law, Jordan. She said that she just downloaded Lee Brice’s Hard to Love album and LOVED it. So, I took a few extra minutes to give it a listen, and I admit I am kind of lovin’ it too. Hence, today’s Thread Tunes selection! Go check the album out {my fave so far is the title track — Hard to Love}. Thanks for the recommendation, Jo!
