It was January 2004. My best friend convinced me and a few others to go with her to a rush gathering on campus for a service organization she heard about. I had no clue what to expect, but decided to go check it out. I remember meeting dozens of awesome girls there — the pledge trainers in particular, who were extremely friendly and welcoming. Annie was one of them. I can’t recall too many details about that night, but I will never forget how sweet and genuine Annie was, and how I excited I felt when learning that I would be part of her spring pledge class. I met some of my best friends that spring, and although we were quite a lot to handle {and obnoxious as heck, I have no doubt}, I admire Annie for being someone who we could all talk to, look up to, and have as a friend. Annie graduated not long after that semester, and with school, crazy schedules, work, and life in general, we hadn’t kept in touch much more than an occasional Facebook ‘like’. UNTIL she contacted me a few months ago to do some anniversary photos as a surprise for her hubby {OMG what a GREAT idea, huh??}. I was completely giddy to get to see her again, catch up after all those years, AND meet her main squeeze, Chris. We had such a great evening shooting and talking like we hadn’t skipped a beat. With all that talking, in fact, I am really surprised we got half as many images as we did, but…we did 🙂 Annie is as beautiful as ever — inside and out — and I am so happy to see her this, well, happy. So happy. And so in love. She has the greatest guy, and no one deserves it more 🙂 I am thrilled beyond words to share a sneak peek of their session with you…
Did I mention in yesterday’s Thread that this was Troy’s shot? No? Well I have to give him major props because this one is a major fave!
Werk it, giiiiirl! Look at those eyes!
The light in this random alley was AHHHH-mazing. Heavenly. And I think I said that about 1,245 times that night.
So sweet 🙂
This next set, in front of the palms, not only makes me jump up and down with joy, it totally reminds me of being the Keys {one of my all-time favorite vacations}. And smack dab in the middle of a Houston alley — who’d-a-thunk-it?Â
Canvas. 1000 times yes. As big as they come!Again, Annie — so pretty.Â
BOOM! Rockin’ it guys!Seriously?!
Another fun Troy shot 🙂
And then more ‘Keys’-inspired locations, with the same ridiculously gorgeous light…and couple 🙂
Annie and Chris — THANK YOU SO MUCH, for the reunion, for waiting for the perfect evening to shoot, for giving me so many wonderful images, and for making me feel like the past 8 years didn’t fly right on by. I can’t tell you how much fun we had, and how great it was to catch up {and meet you, Chris!}. Lots of love, friends. LOTS of love!
