Hi-dee-ho! Happy Thursday 🙂 Before I get started, I want to wish my father-in-law a very happy birthday! Although, now that I think of it, I am certain that there is no way in Hades that he will, in the craziest of circumstances or chance, see this post 🙂 Eh, regardless — happy bday Rick!
1. Pillow Talk. I haven’t really been on Pinterest much in the past few months but I did stop by there yesterday, when I discovered this super cute and seemingly super easy stenciled pillow tutorial from Wit and Whistle. It got me thinking that it would be really cool to make several different sized burlap pillows and paint different quotes, words, or motifs on them. Cute idea, no? I think this may be the perfect project for me to tackle in the next few weeks…if I could only teach myself to sew. Hmph.
2. Date Night. The hubs and I have been on TWO — count ’em — TWO dates in the past two weeks {woohoo!}. Spoiled! Both times, we went to the movies. On our first trip, we saw The Avengers and Troy loved it, deeming it one of his favorite movies ever. That’s pretty big, folks. That means according to Troy, this movie ranks right up there with Bull Durham, Tin Cup, X-Men, and Titanic. Haha, JK on that last one! I agree with Troy though, I liked The Avengers; it was really entertaining, not particularly cheesy, and full of cool effects. I really think Robert Downey Jr. makes the movie though — he is so darn smooth with his witty tongue and bad-ace-ness. I know that sounds kind of weird, being that Chris Hemsworth is also in this film 🙂 We usually wait for movies to go into our on-demand library before we see them, but we went completely against the grain last weekend when we attended the opening weekend showing of Snow White and the Huntsman. I really loved this one, despite my dislike for Kristen Stewart. She did a great job and the special effects were majorly cool, so maybe go see it! In fact, go see them both!
3. Thread Tunes. I was listening to my Sirius radio the other day and heard one of my faves — Ray LaMontagne. But I didn’t recognize the song he was singing…until the chorus. Oh em gee. Best cover ever? I love his version of Gnarls Barkley’s Crazy and I just have to share it with you. Is there anything that Ray can’t sing? I mean seriously.
4. Reminder. On Tuesday, I released the 2012 Half-way to the Holidays promos and spots are getting snatched up quickly! I think there are only two or three left, so act fast if you want to take advantage of this offer! This is the only time of year that I do mini sessions like this 🙂
5. Sneak Peek. I have something super fun in store for you tomorrow: Stephanie’s uber-cute, uber-custom maternity session, complete with the most adorable props and the prettiest mommy-to-be. Trust me, you will die over how sweet this session is, so be sure to stop by tomorrow!
Have a fantastic day, y’all!
