1. Lab Love. While we were in Seattle, Bainbridge Island to be exact, we stumbled upon an adorable little doggie boutique and discovered a collection of awesome pillows from Chandler 4 Corners. The company is partial to labradors {woot woot!} so there are a ton of cute designs featuring our sweet pups — way too many to choose from if you ask me. Doggie in a sailboat? Ca-uuuute! Doggie wearing a santa hat? Adorable! A pair of doggies snuggled up in bed? I’ll take TWO! In all seriousness though, I am about to press the ‘Buy’ button on this one, because it’s perfectly Tess and Huck 🙂
2. Accent WHAT? I was having lunch with a good friend a few weeks ago and it dawned on me to ask her about something that has been bugging the crap out of me for quite some time now. I know she is way trendier than I, and would have way more input into such matters. And she did 🙂 Topic in question: the accent nail. Have you seen it? I didn’t even know that’s what it was called, but apparently it’s when you paint one finger nail {usually your ring finger} a totally different color, pattern, texture, etc. than all your other nails. What the — ? Why? Like many things in fashion, it just catches on I guess, and I am kind of {kind of} starting to maybe sort of like the accent nail — but I am way too ‘in the box’ for anything too crazy. Maybe a rose pink manicure with a cotton candy pink accent nail? Ha — I’m so boring.
3. TV Land. It’s summertime and that means most of my favorite TV shows are on hiatus until the fall, so I am left with a handfull of ‘eh’ shows to get me through my late night editing sessions. I am a bit mortified to admit that I am keeping busy by watching the crazy ladies of NJ and OC on Bravo, and the could-it-get-any-wierder True Blood series {which I hope has a much better season than the last; those witches be craaaazy!}… and all things golf {when Troy has the remote}. I am ruining my brain with bad TV, people! Help! What shows are you tuning into this summer?
4. Thread Tunes. This week’s tune, Pontoon, comes from the country band Little Big Town, and it’s a toe-tapper for sure. I was a little embarrassed to admit that I like it because I thought it was such a weird song when I first heard it. The video is what got me though — it looks like so much fun — and now I jam every time the song is on the radio. Makes me want a cold ‘rita atop the biggest party barge I can find!
