1. Phat Flats. You know I can’t go too long without talking about shoes on the Thread 🙂 I saw these new flats from Tory Burch yesterday and I admit, I got a little hop in my step. See, the problem with my current TB flats is they aren’t really that comfy {well, they are now, after a year and a half of breaking them in rather harshly!}. But the new Chelsea flats {coincidence?! I think not.} are designed with comfort in mind — hallelujah! Apparently, they are more lightweight and have a lot more support. LOVE that. And considering that I spend 99% of my day in flats, this new pair may very well have me sold.
2. Re-Collect. Yesterday, I had a bridal session with the one of my lovely brides-to-be, Jennifer, at the fabulous Recollection Vintage Rentals studio, and I was so happy with how it turned out that I just had to tell you about it — wait, not the shoot {duh! can’t ruin the surprise!}, but about Recollection Vintage itself. Not only can you rent their space for a bridal shoot, bridal shower, or any stylish get-together, you can book their styling services and rent their things. Their vast assembly of beautiful, vintage pieces collected over time adds charm and whimsy to any event and I am always impressed with their work. Head over to their website and take a look around — they simply do not disappoint.
3. Guestbook Look. A friend of mine told me about a really cute guestbook idea, and since it’s the middle of wedding season, I thought I would share a few really neat ideas with you {gracias, Pinterest}! First, the guest book bench. Then there’s the guest book quilt {OMG! I love this idea}. I also really like the guitar idea, using china/plates to hang in a cluster, and having guests sign washer boards — too cool 🙂 Where were all of these fun ideas when we got married??!!
4. CDP Notes. I just wanted to let you know that there is one spot left for the Half-way to the Holidays promo, and just a week or so left to take advantage of the $35 discount, so act fast! The spot that is available is for 10/14 at 6:45pm — the perfect evening timeslot for the perfect fall light… my favorite time!
5. Sneak Peek. Be sure to check the blog tomorrow for a snippet from Kirsten and Dana’s vintage-inspired McKinney wedding! Until then, here is a sneak peek at one of our favorite images 🙂
