“Let the rain kiss you. Let the rain beat upon your head with silver liquid drops. Let the rain sing you a lullaby.” – Langston Hughes
This week, I have been giving in to the overwhelming urge to wear my PJs all day, drink an unnatural amount of coffee, and work all curled up in bed with the pups as the rain falls outside my window. I am happy to report that I have been fairly successful 🙂 I love the rain.
1. Share Me Maybe. Earlier this week, Troy sent me this YouTube video and I am kind of in love with it. It’s soooo funny — I think I watched it about half a dozen times already. Gotta love that crazy Cooooookie Monster!
2. Block On. In my recent issue of Martha Stewart Living, I came upon an article about block printing, and using pretty much any object to add flare to favorite things: towels, notebooks, t-shirts, napkins, stationery, and even shoes! I loved all of the things her staff created — very Anthropologie-ish. Leave it to Martha to think of a potato masher or berry carton as a fabulous craft tool. Now I love me some Pinterest, but Martha will always be the cleverest crafter around 🙂 At least in my book!
3. CDP News. Yesterday, we had a little bit of fun over on my facebook page to show my clients how much I truly appreciate them — and boy do I! You guys are the greatest, and I hope you all know it. While going through the give-away items and deadlines and all of that, I checked out my fall calendar and BOY OH BOY is it going to be a busy end of the year. So if you have been thinking of scheduling a session, especially to have your photos before the holiday rush and in time for Christmas cards, please email me and we can start working on getting you in the books because there are only a few weekend spots left in October in November!
4. Thread Tunes. One of the features on my new car is the ability to tag favorite songs or artists, so that when they come on the radio {specifically satellite radio}, it alerts me! That way, I never miss a good tune 🙂 Gotta love unnecessary-but-totally-cool technology. My latest favorites tag? Cowboys and Angels by Dustin Lynch. I find myself humming it throughout the day and I think it is just too sweet. Maybe you will too…
5. Sneak Peek. The blog has been a little dormant with sessions lately because I have been shooting and editing bridals {’tis the season!}. Those are majorly hush hush for now and will make their debut in time, but in the midst of all of that loveliness I had the chance to work with this little lovely, and I am excited to share her one-year photos with you! Check back tomorrow 🙂 Until then, have a great day!
