1. Terrible, Horrible, No Good Very Bad Dreams. Last night, a few nights over the past few weeks, I have had full blown nightmares. Not about getting murdered, someone dying, or having to go live with Honey Boo Boo, but nightmares about weddings. In one ‘wedding’, I was stuck photographing the detail shots while the ceremony started way early, so Troy had to start shooting the ceremony without me! Not a big deal, but total stresser since I am the one who shoots the processional coming in. In that same wedding, I dreamt that the bride wasn’t interested in getting photographed at all and avoided me at all costs, my camera shutter was slow as Christmas and I couldn’t take consecutive shots, and nothing went according to plan. Aghhhhh! During last night’s ‘dream wedding’, I woke up totally freaked out because not only did I miss shooting the entire wedding processional because they flew down the aisle at warp speeds, I also only had one camera battery (at 50%!), everything happened before I could photograph it (bride was already dressed, cake was already cut, the kiss happened 3 min into the ceremony), and it turned out that I was actually responsible for shooting two weddings at the same location! That gives me a heart attack just thinking about it. If I had a booking agent, they would so be fired. I have dreamt about hot pink wedding dresses, not having all of my equipment, wearing horribly inappropriate clothing to photograph a wedding, and families who wanted to have their portraits taken on steps that went three feet below the ground level, so they all looked like floating torsos. Nothing even remotely close to this has happened to us, but for some reason, I keep dreaming about the most stressful situations my mind can conjure up. I think I need help…or a vacation?
2. Happy Birthday. Tuesday was my sis-in-law {who also happens to be one of my greatest friends} Jordan’s birthday so I want to give her a BIG SHOUT-OUT today, wishing her the sweetest birthday week ever, and sending lots of love. That reminds me, wouldn’t it be so totally cool if Sprinkles or Crave shipped solo cupcakes? That would be so darn awesome. Today is also my dad’s birthday, and he deserves a big ol shoutout too! So happy birthday, Dad — I hope it’s the best one yet, and I look forward to celebrating with you soon!!! Much love to my birthday peeps this week!
3. Fabulous Fall. I know I’m not the only one who is ready for fall. I mean, who isn’t jumping for joy that football, boots, scarves, and pumpkin spice lattes are just around the corner? Fall is hands down my favorite time of year and even though it will likely be 100 degrees outside until November, I still get excited. Here are a few things I am looking forward to: Tech Football kickoff, Round Top Antique Fair, making a version of this wreath, dark nail polish, fall mini sessions, and coffee. Lots and lots of coffee 🙂 I suddenly have the urge to throw a big outdoor party with pumpkin pie, bobbing for apples, hot cocoa, and a hay ride. Lord help me…
4. Winner Winner Chicken Dinner. Last week, in celebration of the 50th Thread, I decided to give away a custom stamp from my friend Sara’s Etsy shop. With the help of random.com, the number that the computer picked was comment #3, which is from Amber Bowers! Thanks for participating guys — it was fun! And again, thanks for reading 🙂
4. Thread Tunes. Troy suggested this week’s tune to be on the blog, so I thought I would oblige him 🙂 By his request, go check out Some Nights by Fun. {who is quickly becoming one of my favorite bands to listen to}. It is such a cheery song and makes me want to frolic around and dance. Yea, I just said frolic.
5. Sneak Peek. Tomorrow, I will share Jennifer and Keith’s wedding sneak peek, and you definitely don’t want to miss it! Until then, have a great day, folks!!

Thanks for the bday shout out!! By the way – I used to have nightmares about forgetting a class all semester until finals & when I was a waitress, I dreamt that everyone else was in normal speed but I was in slow speed & I had EVERY table in the restaurant! 😉 I still have them sometimes. So…I have nothing to help you other than the peace of mind that you’re in good company! Love you!
