Isaac wasn’t the only hurricane that popped up on the radar over the last few weeks. We’ve definitely had our fair share of whirlwinds and emotional torrential downpours lately, and they just seem to keep coming. So today, as I head to the east coast to be with family, I. just. feel. like. pouting. If you’re feeling particularly chipper and full of sunshine and rainbows, I hope to join you there soon but this is definitely not the day 🙁 I don’t even know how to attempt to organize and thoroughly go through the many thoughts in my head at the moment, and I doubt I could pick even a few that I think you may enjoy reading as you sip your coffee this morning. So I am sorry to disappoint, but there will be no recommended craft projects or Thread tunes, Pinterest links, or CDP news in this post, folks. Nope, today I just want to mope. If you’re feeling a little down in the dumps too, I invite you to join me in self pity {hey, I’m all for a party!}. Cue the tiny violins, stay in your pjs — or better yet, stay in bed if you want to — and grab [a bucket of] your favorite ice cream. But just for the day. Tomorrow will be our pick-yourself-up-by-your-bootstraps day; I love those…
I must say that in the midst of my pity party, I can’t help but feel overcome with great appreciation, for friends who just seem to get it, family who is always there when you need them most, for the patience and understanding of my amazing clients, oh — and for puppydog kisses too. It’s a blessed feeling to know that wherever you turn — even in the midst of a hurricane — there are wonderful people to lean on.
We will return next week with your regularly scheduled sunshine and rainbows, I promise 🙂 Because I have two family sessions to share that are sure to make you smile. And that is something to look forward to!
