I can’t even begin to tell you how smitten I am with this family. I have had the pleasure of working with them several times already, as well as photographing several members of their extended and immediate family too {who I adore just as much!}, and every last one of them are simply awesome. Truly. To me, working with the Carters, Willistons, Reims and Petersons is like working with friends family, because that’s exactly how they treated me from day 1. I don’t even know how we made that transition now that I think of it, it just sort of happened. But having them as my bonus ‘family’ has been the greatest blessing. I’m so spoiled, folks! So although I could type up a sappy paragraph {or ten} about how wonderful all of them are, I will spare you 🙂 and instead, share some of the images from my latest session with the Carter branch of this great fam. We did a more rustic, natural feel for their last session, so Lana wanted to go the opposite direction this go-around and do something more urban. A black and grey palette, Chuck Taylors, and the cutest little fedoras, paired with a warehouse setting? I’d say they nailed it.
I love this one bunches.…and this one too!Sweet sisters 🙂Straight out of a Gap Kids ad. Obviously.Â
This one pretty much sums it up 🙂
Lana, please blow this one up to wallpaper size and plaster it to your living room wall — the four of you are just too much.I shot this next one through a chain link fence and am really happy with how it came out. It may be a new canvas for my office…<3
The two cuties are in dance, so they threw on their costumes for a few shots. I love the juxtaposition {heeeey! big word alert!} of the classic dresses with the gritty, urban setting. And those shoes…love.
JP, Lana, Reese and Blayke — you have a special place in my heart {and apparently, a new spot on my office walls too!}. I heart you guys bunches and I always have the best time hanging out with you. Oh ya, and taking pictures of your beautiful family too — duh. 🙂 Thank you for always being so kind and welcoming, and for making me feel part of your super-awesome fam. I hope you love this little {yes, little} glimpse into the images we captured, and even more, I hope each of you know how special you are to me! BIG hugs!
