Can you believe it’s already November? I, for one, and super excited. We are only 2 weeks from Troy and my 4th anniverary {woot!}, 3 weeks from Turkey Day, 7 weeks from Christmas, and 8 weeks from 2013! Woah — am I going too fast? Sorry, folks. Didn’t mean to induce panic attacks. 2012 was just such a crazy year for us, full of some great ups and some very low downs, so we are really excited to see what 2013 has in store. It is the year of the snake, after all π
1. Somebody Get This Girl a Book! As if we didn’t watch enough TV already, we added some new shows to the DVR list and I am kind of hooked now. Anyone watch X-Factor? The Voice? Ooooooh I LOVE both of them {though I think the Voice is better by a mile} and am really excited to see who is going to win. There are sooooo many good contestants on both shows, it’s way too early for me to decide π But I doΒ think Simons’ groups and Britney’s teens are the best from the X Factor, and I’m putting my money on Adam Levine or Christina Aguilera for The Voice win; both of their teams are legit. One thing I am 100% sure of though, Cee Lo totally freaks me out. Totally.
2. Fa La La. I have officially started Christmas shopping; I picked up my mother-in-law’s present this week and I am really pumped about it! Nothing better than crossing names off the ol Christmas list. That made me start online shopping too — why not? — which is waaaaay easier than real shopping by the way, and I am making some great progress already. I may actually have presents to put under my tree in a few weeks! Usually my biggest bulk shopping day is Black Friday — yes, I am that girl who joins the masses outside Target and devises her master shopping attack plan. We usually sneak in right after the doors open, to avoid the ‘crazies’ {duh}, but I am feeling a little risky this year, so you may find me front and center, throwing elbows with the best of em! Have you started shopping yet?
3. Carded. Speaking of Christmas, anyone thinking about Christmas/New Years cards yet? I know I am; I love sending out something fun and different and have already been brainstorming for some ideas. My friends at Atheneum Creative and Lulubean Designs sent over their lovely holiday catalogs {perfect timing!} and I just had to share them with you. Their designs are amazing and I feel super lucky to have such talented pals π To view Atheneum’s collection, click here and for Lulubean Designs’ collection, click here. You may just spot a few images of my clients in the designs too — Enjoy!
4. CDP News. Since 2012 is nearing its end, I wanted to let you guys know that we are officially all booked up for sessions this year! Unless you have already secured your date or have been in talks with me over the possible open dates, all new inquiries will need to start looking at 2013 dates. The Workshop is also just around the corner and I am so excited about all the plans and details! We have a pretty awesome list of attendees and vendors too, bonus! π Look for a feature soon, so you can check out all of the super cool stuff from our generous contributors!
5. Thread Tunes. Don’t grimace when I say this, but I can’t seem to get the chorus to Ke$ha‘s song Die Young out of my head. It makes me tap my foot, and oddly, it makes me work fast fast fast. That’s a good thing in my book, so glittery, ripped-tights wearing, crazy Ke$sha wins this one.
I have a TON of lovely sessions to share with you and have been working like crazy to finish them all up, so check back soon. As per yesterday’s sneak peek, next on the blog: Aiden’s 6mo session! Happy Thursday, folks π
