1. Virtual Post-It Note. Reminder from last week: please submit your final orders, including print orders for Christmas gifts, by Dec 10 in order to guarantee delivery by Christmas. Canvas orders need to be placed as soon as possible {ideally, this week}, since their shipping schedules are a little longer. I am also taking bookings for 2013 at the current pricing, but please note that all bookings made after Dec 14 will be at the new 2013 rates. There will be some exciting changes in the new year, so be sure to tune in for the latest!
2. Merry + Bright. I seriously LOVE this video — definite fave for the holidays, and that reindeer on the far left is the bomb 🙂
3. For the Photog In Your Life. I know I already gave you a little list of gift ideas in last week’s Thread, but I have a few items this week that would make any shutterbug smile a Grinchy smile if they opened one of these gifts:
1. Kelly Moore Riva Bag — $149. The smallest bag from KM but super cute and really easy to carry your camera and a few cards in.
2. Camera Lens Mug — $24-$30. It’s a coffee mug. And it looks exactly like a camera lens. Enough said 🙂
3. Wireless Remote Shutter Release — $37.50. The perfect gift for someone who never seems to make it IN the photos he/she takes!
4. Canon 50mm 1.4 lens — only $299 after an INSTANT REBATE of $100. GREAT deal, folks. Troy uses this lens to second-shoot w me and it’s a big ol bang for your buck.
4. Give > Receive. One of our favorite things about the holidays is the spirit of giving to those in need. It has always been a big thing in our house, whether serving with the church at homeless shelters as a kid, participating in Meals on Wheels, or picking an angel off of the angel tree. This year, we are working with our friends to conduct a toy drive and I am really excited about being able to do a small part in making someone’s Christmas extra special. I love hearing about all of the ways people are planning to do something thoughtful for others, and I enjoy getting new ideas for giving back in the new year. So tell me — how are you spreading the Christmas spirit and giving back this season??
5. Thread Tunes. I have been attacking my to-do list like a ninja lately. Considering the rate at which I am blowing through answering emails, editing remaining sessions, and packaging CDs and prints, this week’s theme song should be Eye of the Tiger, but I think that would be a little too cliché, don’t you? Pandora, the Mumford & Sons station to be exact, has been my BFF from dawn into the wee hours of the night, so I think I Will Wait is a good tune to lead us into the weekend. Plus, the banjo-playing keeps me moving like a true champ 🙂
6. Sneak Peek. As you know, almost all of the sessions I have edited over the past few weeks are pretty hush-hush until the holidays are over, but I do have a FEW that I can share with you soon, including this cute couple’s session with Gabriela + Cris 🙂
