1. Happy Valentine’s Day! Well, the day of love it officially upon us and I don’t know if I am scared or excited… the hubs got up early to snag a yummy box of Shipley’s donuts for us to share, so I’d say the day is off to a pretty good start! It’s pretty sad that the way to my heart is a box full of fried, iced bread… My mom flies in to Houston shortly so I am about to head off to the airport {eeeeeek! Sooooo excited!!}, and the rest of our family will be here this weekend for a fun-filled visit. I wish all Valentine’s Days were like this {no offense, Troy}!! Any big plans for you today? Date night out or movie night with your bffs, however you spend it, I hope it’s full of love 🙂

 

2. Happy Birthday! Monday was my little sister’s birthday and we celebrated with her via Skype {which still completely and totally blows my mind, by the way} until she visits this weekend when we can have a proper bday bash 🙂 I am so darn excited that she is flying in that I can hardly stand it — sister time is always fun and I know we have quite a weekend in store. Happy Birthday, Linds!! Hugs!!!

4. Fun Proposal. Troy sent me this video last week, of one heck of a marriage proposal — probably one of the BEST ones I have seen yet. The video is a little lengthy, but so worth it, so check it out when you have a few minutes to spare. If you’re anything like me, you will be crying by the end of it! LOL 🙂 So creative….

 

5. High Fives. I thought I would try out another week of high fives — a list of a few things that I am swooning over right now.  First on the list: Moroccan Oil. Holy cow, where have you been all my life???? I can’t imagine a hair care routine now that doesn’t include this little gem. It’s definitely worth a try. Next on my list of faves is the iPhone 5. I dropped my 4 last weekend and was really sad about having to say adios to it {if I would have had the Otterbox case on it, I am sure it would have survived}, but I was quickly cheered up by the iPhone 5. It’s pretty darn neat, and the camera is super cool. Definitely getting a hefty case for this one. So, there’s this little jewelry company — maybe you’ve heard of them? Stella & Dot? My good friend Sarah hosted a Stella & Dot party last week and I fell in love with their stuff. They have a LOT of cute items that are perfectly on trend, and although I have seen plenty of their jewelry on friends and in catalogs, I hadn’t had the chance to go through everything up-close and in person yet. That night, I dog-eared about a dozen pages in the catalog before narrowing my selection down and finally making my purchase {thanks to Kirby, our S&D personal stylist for her amazing knowledge and help}, some of which are gifts for some special ladies in my life 🙂 If you haven’t shopped Stella & Dot yet, oh girl, please do!

 

6. Thread Tunes. This week, I really can’t get enough of Bruno Mars, so I thought Locked Out of Heaven would be a fun tune to share. I can’t help but do a little toe-tapping when this song is on — plus, it’s a fave of the hubs — so go enjoy it!
