I can’t believe we are at 70. Or rather, I can’t believe you have read through 70! Threads, that is 🙂 Big thanks, folks! I usually have NO CLUE what I am going to write in the Thread just days before it’s ‘due’, but I always seem to pull a few random thoughts from my head to share with you and I love your sweet, supportive feedback. Y’all always have my back!
1. So, Sew? I have so much time on my hands. Soooo much {enter sarcastic tone here} but nevertheless, I am getting a major itch to learn how to sew. I mean, how darn convenient would that be? Curtains — on it! Blankets — don’t mind if I do! Pillowcase dresses — oh the possibilities! I see so many adorable things online that I want, but I can’t help but think to myself “sheesh! That looks so easy to make; if only I could sew…” I posted about my new interest on FB a while back and it looks like there are a lot of options for beginners classes. The real issue though is picking and buying a sewing machine. Any recommendations on machines? Classes? Tips/Tricks? How to get started? So overwhelming!
2. Back on the Bandwagon. I am in major craft mode these days. I have been scouring Pinterest for ideas but haven’t come across very many that are peaking my interest {probably great for my hubby, and my bank account}. Do you have any that you have done recently, or that you are excited to try? Share a link in the comments and help a girl out! So far, the only things on my list are making these jars, glammed up lights, and a new bathroom shelf…
3. Throwing The Idea Around. So I have had a few workshops already, for those who wanted to better understand and use their DSLR camera, and those workshops have been AWESOME. Now I am considering arranging a different kind of workshop. It would have a short crash-course for the basics, and then the rest of the class you will be able to test your camera and your skills in a large variety of fun situations and locations — some pre-planned and others whatever comes our way {because you can’t always anticipate your next photo op OR the conditions you will be shooting in!}. You would take the reins and I would assist you in getting your desired shot(s). Super duper hands-on. So whataya think? Would you want to come hang out with me for a few hours and see what you {and your camera} can do?? If so, leave me a comment or send a message!
4. Thread Tunes. The radio must be in tune with my jams this week because every time I turn on the car, I am greeted with a good song. Most recently, it’s been Demons by Imagine Dragons. When I first bought their CD, I liked one song on there. Ok maybe two. But I guess it is starting to grow on me now because this I really love this tune; it is so upbeat and catchy despite the serious lyrics. Go give it a listen!
