1. Love It or Leave It? The only thing that has been on my mind lately is paint. And fabric. Doing a room completely from scratch is so hard for this perfectionist, let me tell ya. I keep thinking “if I could only design the exact fabric I want, and give the paint guys a Pantone color, we would be set!” Any other creative-minded people run into this issue? I have 8 paint samples on the wall and although none are really looking like ‘the one’, I am set on picking one and just going with it to get it over with. And with Valspar’s Love Your Color Guarantee, I could do this forever… {oi!}
2. Roadtrip. I have been seriously jonesing for a vacay — a beach vacay. Some place we could lay around in the sun and do nothing. I keep thinking we could head south to Galveston for a day trip, but since we have only been a handful of times {always w a specific purpose}, I have no clue where to start planning. Should we stay in a hotel? Rent a house? Are there any quiet spots of the beach {wow, I sound old}? And what about places to eat? Things to see and do? Anyone got a pointer or two?? I am all ears!
3. Punked. Troy sent me this video yesterday and I died laughing. It is so funny; I had to share it with you all. The best part is what the guy says at the very end 🙂 Hehehe what a sport!
4. Antique Time! For anyone who consistently follows along on the blog, you know that we are big fans of the Antique Markets, those in Round Top in particular. We are planning to make our third trip in just a few weeks and this girl is crazy excited! With a very special room to buy for now, we have a whole new perspective on scouring for unique finds 🙂 A friend also told me about all of the goodies that can be found in Warrenton, just a little ways down the road from Round Top, so we will also be stopping there for a visit. Anyone else going to Round Top this spring?
5. Thread Tunes. OK so I know it’s kind of out there, but the Harlem Shake seems to be taking the world by storm lately. I think it’s getting bigger than Gangnam Style — I can’t get away from it! The fellas from Duck Dynasty have even gotten in on the craze, so it seems only natural to make it this week’s tune 🙂 If you have time, please YouTube Harlem Shake and look through some of the hilarious videos.
