I first met Jennifer and her {then} fiance David at his brother’s wedding in 2011. I remember how much fun they were, so when Jennifer and I met for coffee last year to discuss David and her wedding, and I knew that theirs would be just as fun to shoot. After a few hours of chatting and looking through photos, it was clear that Jennifer was going to be a bride after my own heart. She was so detailed and creative, and was really into getting great photography. Triple score! You know I love a bride who puts focus on creating a great environment to capture beautiful photos. La Colombe d’Or was the perfect location for doing just that; every little detail was perfectly thought out by Jennifer, and expertly executed by Natalie from Belle of the Ball, who by the way, was a joy to work with! She is sooooo good at what she does, so Brides, please give her a call!
The rest of the killer team that Jennifer had backing her up on her big day made for a pretty flawless event that Troy and I were so honored to capture. I had a TON of images that I wanted to share with you today, but after hours of culling and editing, I narrowed it down this small-ish {ehem} selection 🙂 Enjoy browsing through them, and please leave Jennifer + David some love in the comments — they deserve it!
Kristin Daniell and her team did a flawless job on Jennifer’s hair and makeup. She is the best, ladies!
Jennifer’s Rivini gown was one of the most beautiful I have seen yet. It looked absolutely stunning on her.
The weather that day was a dream, which left La Colombe illuminated with the most gorgeous natural light, making shots like the one below possible…
Perfect, Jennifer. Just perfect!
Wedding Flowers by Lisa created lovely arrangements for Jennifer and her girls; just wait until you see the reception florals!
Of course we snapped a few shots of the handsome groom with his guys right before ceremony time 🙂
These two can work a camera. Obviously.
We could have shot in La Colombe d’Or all day long — it is seriously one of the most gorgeous venues I’ve seen. Caroline and the team there worked with Natalie to make the reception area to die for.
I told you Jen was creative. She made these adorable notebooks which served as table numbers, menu holders, and a fun place for guests to write their well-wishes.
Jennifer also hand-folded every one of these origami chairs, which helped guests find their seats.
More stunning, larger-than-life florals by Lisa, and this perfect ombre cake from World Catering.
I love this shot Troy captured 🙂 He’s kinda awesome like that.
After a quick outfit chance, a few heartfelt speeches, and one heck of a dance party, Jennifer and David held hands and ran through a sea of paper airplanes {also handmade by the bride!} as the new Mr. and Mrs. McLaurin…
Jennifer and David, there are no words. You are two of the kindest people we have met and it was truly an experience working with you on your special day. You put so much into making your wedding a memorable experience for everyone, and it most definitely shows. Everything was perfect. Simply amazing, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for letting us be there to photograph it all for you. We wish you both nothing but the absolute best, and a lifetime of laughter and love.
