1. Feed Needs. Part of my routine is catching up on industry blogs {and a few others}. I love being able to see what’s new and browse through the posts seamlessly using my Google Reader. But for the past few months, I’ve been haunted by a message from Google saying that they will soon be retiring Reader {the actual date is July 1}. They have allowed us users what they call a “sunset period” from now until the end of June so we have enough time to find an alternative feed-reading solution. I do not like changes like this 🙁 and have been dragging my feet trying to find an alternative RSS feed option, but the time has finally come. Can you guys give me any suggestions? I would LOVE and greatly appreciate your input 🙂
2. CDP News. Although things are slowing down around here on the business front as we get ready for baby, I am still planning to keep the blog updated with all kinds of info for you guys — some posts are sure to be completely random and pointless, but most will be based more on tips, helpful tidbits, and photo-related info. Anything in particular you are interested in learning about?? Leave me a comment below 🙂 Also, be sure to stay tuned in June for the annual Halfway to the Holidays mini session promo. I LOVE these minis and always have such a great time with everyone who participates. Spots will be limited and they tend to book up pretty quickly, so keep your eyes peeled by following here on the blog and/or through the Facebook page!!
3. Down to the Wire. We have been trying to tie up loose ends around the house and get things ready for the big day, but I swear my to-do list doesn’t get any shorter, regardless of how much we cross off. We have less than four weeks to go and are happy to have all of the ‘big’ things done, like a completed nursery, both hospital bags packed, arrangements made for the pups, and one of the two car seat bases installed in our cars {anyone else find this task intimidating and a little difficult?!}. But there are still a dozen little things to do in the meantime — does it ever really get done???
4. Thread Tunes. We are totally hooked on this season of The Voice — so much talent! I personally think Team Blake could win a consecutive third year in a row, but Team Adam may just take the win this time with Amber Carrington. Homegirl can sing y’all. I still totally love her rendition of Rihanna’s Stay, so I thought that would be a great pick for this week’s Tune 🙂 You can check it out on iTunes here.
5. Sneak Peek. I have a few final sessions to share with you guys from my last weeks of shooting, including this adorable newborn session with one of my all-time favorite families 🙂
