1. Time for a Vacay. Troy and I are celebrating our 5-year wedding anniversary in November and although we will be delaying celebrating (way too much going on around the holidays!), we are starting to plan a little trip for sometime this spring, just the two of us. We are looking to go somewhere that requires us to be on an airplane for less than 5 hours, so Europe is obviously out of the question 🙂 but do you guys recommend any places? We were thinking of beachy spots (we went to the Bahamas for our honeymoon) but I am a total SUCKER for cooler weather and grey skies (I sound like a total vacation Debbie Downer, huh?), so a Canada trip isn’t out of the question either. Help!! I’d love to look at your ideas!
2. Craft-tastic. There’s something about fall that makes me get crafty. No joke, I’ve been to Hobby Lobby three times in one week, and to Michael’s once. I have all kinds of projects on my to-do list, starting with making a burlap wreath similar to this one. I figure it can’t be too difficult to make on my own, especially since I see them selling for over $50 pre-made — whaaaat?? I think I spent a total of $10 on all the supplies, maybe less. Excited to see how it turns out. Anyone ever made one before? Have any good tips? And just in case you are wondering, I am also going to attempt to make a pennant banner similar to this one, and a festive holiday sign for above our fireplace. Now I just need to find time to do it all 🙂
3. Talented Fallon. Jimmy, that is. I was a huge fan from his days on SNL and his late night show is my favorite of the bunch, hands down. One of the best parts of his show is the lip syncing battles, and this particular one with Joseph Gordon Levitt and Stephen Merchant is friggin awesome! You have to watch it all the way through, you won’t regret it 🙂 Another thing that I love about Late Night With Jimmy Fallon is when he does the SNL-like skits. I saw this one  circulating the internet yesterday so I had to share it with you — I just don’t think you can get any funnier than Justin and Jimmy! #hilarious
4. Thread Tunes. Troy recently told me about how our [Tech] coach Kliff Kingsbury started playing a series of pretty awesome songs during team practice, blasting them over the loud speakers to pump players up. I guess that’s what you get when you have a young, 30-something coach, huh?? 🙂 There are apparently a few of his playlists circulating the internet, featuring everything from ACDC to Kanye West, and Troy played me a few of the songs from one list he found. Folks, that is how I came to know of Avicii. Their song Wake Me Up is so catchy — a definite head-bobber — and I think it makes the perfect tune for today’s Thread. Thank you, hubs! And thank you King Kliff!
5. Sneak Peek. Tomorrow, I will be posting a sneak peek from a maternity session with a gorgeous momma-to-be and her sweet hubby — don’t miss it!
Have a fantastic day!!!

Nick and I went to Cabo in August and it was great. Short plane ride too!
