So….ya. I just realized about an two hours ago as I was shopping at Sam’s that today is Thursday. Major blogger fail! Oh well, I decided to get this Thread done anyways, even if it’s a little late in the day 🙂 So here goes nothin’…
1. Eye-Fi Find. I follow the ever fabulous Kelly Moore on Instagram and I noticed that she posts some really fantastic images on her feed, better than the usual iPhone pics. How do I get MY Instagram photos to look like my professional photos??!?! Well, one day, Kelly mentioned that she had been using this incredible little device called an Eye-Fi card, then wrote about it on her blog. Eureka! Mystery solved!! The Eye-fi card is an SD card that works with my professional camera to send the photos straight from my miii to my phone via wifi, at which point I can edit and post online — mind. blown. Kelly wrote a fantastic review of the Eye-Fi card on the blog post I mentioned , so I will direct you there to find out more about the card if you’re interested. I, for one, have ordered this little photo phenomenon and hope to start using it really soon 🙂
2. Going to Market…Again? This weekend is one of the best events in Houston – the Urban Market. Located at the Bayou City Event Center, a slew of dealers, designers, and shop owners gather to showcase their most spectacular items — everything from antiques and furniture to decor and lots of little treasures. I hear you can get some pretty great deals there too! I hope to convince the hubs to let me sneak away for a few hours of mindless perusing — or maybe he will want to join? Hehehe. Anyone else going to be there??
3. Tis The Season for Sessions! This weekend marks the first set of mini sessions, and to me, the beginning of the fall shooting season (photos, not animals). I am so excited! I always love fall sessions, even if it’s still a little toasty outside, and I have a great group of four families to kick things off at Sunday’s minis 🙂 Let’s pray the weather stays as beautiful as it has been lately!  A few folks have emailed me inquiring about what to wear for their session, so I thought I would direct you guys to this post I wrote about creating a cohesive look for your images. I also have a great Pinterest board that has lots of examples and tips to refer to, so check that out as well. Of course you can always search Pinterest and find your own inspirations 🙂 You guys always look fab!
4. Thread Tunes. I love Ellen and I love how she features fresh acts she finds on YouTube. Most of them are super talented, and some are just plain odd. Like Ylvis. And his song ‘The Fox’. I was laughing my head off when they were talking about it on Ellen and since then, I have heard the song all over the place. Please tell me you’ve heard of it/seen the video? It’s so darn weird, but I will warn you, it gets in your head y’all! Troy and I were singing it for days…embarrassingly…ring-ding-ding-ding-dingeringeding! So if you want a ridiculous and fun tune, go listen to ‘The Fox’ 🙂
