My sister was visiting from Chicago last weekend and we decided to take advantage of the gorgeous weather by heading out to Blessington Farms in Simonton for a little pumpkin picking 🙂 It was our first trip to get pumpkins from a ‘legit’ place (ie not HEB) and it definitely did not disappoint. I was completely floored with the size of the farm and how pretty it was, not to mention the super friendly staff and variety of pumpkins you could pick from. We found pumpkins for carving, little ones for decorating with, and my favorite: the pretty white and grey pumpkins (HEB calls them cinderella pumpkins, and charges quite a bit more for them). It turned out to be such a wonderful afternoon and we will definitely be visiting Blessington Farms again, maybe next month for strawberry picking 🙂
Out happy little pumpkin 🙂
