1. Tricks Over Treats. I know Halloween has already come and gone, but Troy shared this string of videos with me that aired on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ and I was dying laughing. So naturally, I wanted to share it with you guys 🙂 Each year near Halloween, Jimmy Kimmel asks parents to record a video of them telling their kids that they ate all of their Halloween candy from the night before. OMG kids FLIP out! I mean, I certainly don’t blame them, and I feel kinda bad that parents would play such a mean trick on their kiddos, but the videos are pretty hilarious 🙂 This one from last year’s prank is priceless! Kids are so darn cute, huh?
2. High Fives. Big high five to Hunter for making the Adjustable Back version of their popular rubber boot, keeping it just as tall as the Original, but still roomy for us girls with bigger calves 🙂 Score! Starbucks gets my next high five for their Caramel Apple Spice drink. I don’t know where that drink has been hiding all these years but it is ridiculously tasty — like sipping autumn from a cup — and at only 210 calories (tall, no whip), it’s my current go-to treat. I’m saving my last high five for all the dudes participating in Movember this month, particularly those who will be getting their family photos done while sporting their ‘mo’ 🙂
3. CDP News. With 2013 all booked up and the new year quickly approaching (just 54 days left!), I have started working on my 2014 pricing and products booklet and would LOVE your input. What would you like to see for CDP next year? More press products (albums, cards, etc)? Simpler ordering with print/digital package options, or more variety? We’ve already made a few exciting changes, like a new medium for receiving digital collections (hint: adios CDs!) and a cool referral system that’s in the works. Feel free to email me at chelsea@chelseadavisphoto.com if you have an idea you would like to share. I’m all ears!
4. Thread Tunes. You guys know I love watching The Voice, and earlier this week Christina Aguilera partnered with A Great Big World to perform the lovely song Say Something. It was soooo good, y’all. I love the lyrics, the simple melody (reminds me of Colorblind), and how Christina scaled it way back compared to her typical powerhouse vocals — pretty sure it make me want to ball my eyes out though! LOL!
5. Sneak Peek. I shot the first round of minis last weekend and they turned out so stinkin’ good! Have I mentioned how much I love the minis??!! I am editing the rest of the images now, but here is a little peek at one of the families I got to work with — the Dulocks 🙂
Have a fantastic rest of the week, y’all! Oh, and if you’re at the Nutcracker Market tomorrow, shoot me a message! I’d love to say hi 🙂
