Let me start by saying that I adore this young girl. There can’t be anyone sweeter in this world. Not only is Maddi gorgeous, she is equally as beautiful on the inside, with the most caring, polite, kind-hearted spirit. I have had the pleasure of photographing her and the rest of the Williston family throughout the past few years, as their family grew and experienced some pretty amazing adventures. This session though, it was all about Maddi. And I am oh so happy that she asked me to document this special time in her life. Being a senior means embarking on a whole new kind of adventure… and growing up (don’t you cry now, Misty!). I know without a doubt that Maddi is going to take the world by storm, and this pretty girl is destined for amazing things.
So here they are, Maddi! I know you have been patiently and eagerly awaiting the sneak peek of your images, and I am incredibly excited to share them with you. BIG HUGS sweet girl — and thank you so very much!
Cannot get over this little smirk! 🙂
Told you, gorgeous.
That one on the left is a definite fave.
Quick outfit change — duh — and we were off to take advantage of the phenomenal evening light.
Another huge fave — the one on the left. LOVE.
I heart this next one too….
I am still swooning over that light….
Then it was time to head over to the tracks. Funny story about these tracks though… 🙂 Maddi wanted to have her portraits made with railroad tracks BAD, y’all. Like, we were NOT going to do the session without em. But I have a strict policy about not shooting on live tracks. Way too dangerous, and in many areas, illegal (trespassing). So what did Maddi’s super-amazing-never-gonna-let-her-kiddo-down momma do??? Well she went on a mission, of course. And you know what happens when a momma is on a mission. She almost always wins. Misty found inactive, public tracks and got us permission to shoot on them (that like never happens, y’all). I admit, I am really grateful to Misty too, because the next set of images are some of my ALL TIME faves. Thank you, Misty!!!
Canvas-worthy, y’all. Big time.
And what’s a senior session without some letter jacket shots to wrap up the day??
As a momma myself, this next one almost made me cry thinking of Bree in 18 years — ah!! There I go again!
Maddi, Misty — I cannot tell you how great it was to spend my evening hanging out with you guys. You are truly the best, and Maddi, boy oh boy are you beautiful, girlie! My camera thanks you for all of the gorgeous shots from that day, and I myself am still bursting with happiness. Much love and many hugs to you both. I hope you enjoyed the gigantic sneak peek 🙂
Misty says
Perfection, Chelsea. And yes, I’m crying. Life goes too fast. Xo
