I have been working up a storm this week, shooting and editing and shooting and editing, so instead of trying to come up with a Thread today, I thought that I would share Amy’s colorful, fun-loving maternity session with you. It’s definitely better than any Thread I could’ve written today, promise 🙂  Amy is one of the most supportive, thoughtful, kind people I’ve ever met, and I can’t believe that almost THREE years ago, our friendship started over maternity photos when she was pregnant with her first baby boy, Ryker. I have been so blessed to be able to document each step of Amy and Nick’s journey as parents, growing our friendship along the way. And as they prepare to welcome their second baby boy next month, it is my honor to get to photograph them again and capture this special time, especially Ryker who is about to become a big brother 🙂 Here’s a peek at their maternity family session…
Amy and Nick are keeping the name of their baby a total secret until he makes his debut! Even brother Ryker has no clue what it is (two-year-olds do talk…a lot! hehe), that doesn’t seem to dull his excitement over this baby — he love his new role as big bro! (Fun fact: I know what it is! We snapped some cute photos with letters spelling out his name and although they are hidden for now, I will be able to share with you all soon enough!)Â

I just adore this family and I know that baby Carlson will cozy right in and make his place in their hearts.  I am on pins and needles waiting for him to arrive so I can share him with all of you! Amy, Nick, and Ry — thank you for being troopers and shooting with me so last-minute so we could take advantage of the one day of fabulous weather we’d had in weeks! I loved this session, and I hope you do too 🙂 HUGS!!
