I have been sitting on these images for a few weeks now, trying to cull through my favorites for a sneak peek, and there are just so many! Almost too many to choose…almost 🙂 Tiffany and Jay’s wedding was packed full of love and beautiful little details at every turn, making it a dream for a wedding photographer; everything from the florals to the dress (y’all, that dress!), and the most unique cakes I’ve seen yet (hint: think Steel Magnolias). I don’t know many people as thoughtful and sweet as this couple, and it was our pleasure to get to capture this day for them with our cameras, laughing and joking with the wedding party all day and getting teary-eyed over dances and speeches with the guests. It was all just perfect and I am excited to share a glimpse of it with you today 🙂
Tiffany’s dress was a vision, y’all. And she looked stunning in it!
I was totally smitten with Tiffany’s bouquet crafted by the super-talented Blooming Gallery. It had all of my favorites bundled into one gorgeous bunch, and it smelled incredible!
After portraits, it was time for the first look — a few quiet moments that the bride and groom spent together to share in all of their excitement and happiness and take in the magnitude of the day. Of course, we are there to photograph this sweet time for them, which always produces my favorite images of the whole day.
Gah! I love this shot Troy captured!
Some more sweet moments from Troy’s camera:
The first look also allows us to get many of the bride and groom portraits completed, with no time crunch and stress of getting over to the reception. The lighting is always amazing, the couple is relaxed, and we are free to get creative with the images we capture.
A wedding party FULL of Red Raiders — I love it! Wreck Em!
That pretty lady in the photo on the left with Tiffany, that’s her mom! Isn’t she gorgeous?!
Second Baptist Church had the most interesting light, from the glow of hundreds of candles, rows of brass chandeliers, and those stained-glass windows — y’all, they were a vision.
I am crazy over this image Troy captured of the afternoon sun coming through the windows — it cast the most interesting splashes of color onto the guests sitting in the pews. It was such a beautiful view looking down from the balcony.
Brennan’s of Houston was hands-down one of the loveliest venues we’ve worked at. Every detail was simply spectacular and the staff was top notch. Troy and I kept talking about how great it was and how we can’t wait to go there for dinner one night so we can sit back and enjoy the ambiance (and one of their famous bananas foster desserts!).
More floral perfection by Blooming Gallery….
Isn’t this Cakes by Gina creation  just beautiful? I loved all of the details, and that glass slipper on top (Jay proposed to Tiffany in Disney Land with this glass slipper)!
On the left, Brennan’s of Houston presents their bananas foster, and on the right, Jay’s groom cake (told you it was just like Steel Magnolia’s!!!). Despite its very realistic appearance, the cake was quite yummy 🙂
Mr. and Mrs. Harper — we wish you immeasurable happiness and love in your marriage, and nothing but life’s best in your new roles as husband and wife. Troy and I thank you for such an incredible day with what felt like forever friends (and for the yummy pralines!). I hope you enjoyed these snapshots — there are sooooo many more to come! Hugs!
Also, MANY thanks to Resha and her team from Something to Celebrate for making sure the day ran smoothly and that everything was perfect! And to Scott and Stephanie, the videography duo behind AGB Productions, who danced around/with us throughout the day to get the perfect shots 🙂
