We had a first family Easter for the books, y’all. So much fun! I know Bree won’t remember an ounce of that day, but I sure will 🙂 It was exciting getting to create an Easter basket for her (liner from PB Kids), full of all kinds of goodies, like pajamas, books, head wraps from Positively Oakes, a pair of ruffle shorts, some headbands I made, bunny snack containers I scored from Target, treats from Aunt Lindsey, and some new sandals (shoes are a must-have!). I also filled a few eggs with her favorite treats (puffs!) and left them on her highchair for a morning snack 🙂
Everyone got an Easter basket that morning (although Bree’s kind of stole the show, lol), filled with their favorites. Troy and Mom got Red Bull and candy and I got nail polish and a few of my go-to Easter indulgences. All of the items for these baskets — and the baskets themselves — came from trusty Target.
As if Bree wasn’t spoiled enough, her Mimi brought her the most beautiful Peter Rabbit book (the illustrations are gorgeous) and some adorable summer clothes 🙂 Thanks, Mimi!
After attending a beautiful church service (y’all, I was in tears the whole time!), we had family over for an Easter egg hunt and a yummy lunch (thanks to Troy’s enviable smoker skills; that man can cook!). It was incredible being with family on such a lovely day, celebrating our Savior and relishing in the sweetest of moments.
It made me so happy watching all the little ones sift through bushes and reach into flower pots searching for the brightly colored eggs and squealing with joy when they discovered one. I got a glimpse of many Easters to come, and my heart was so full.
And because I worked so hard on this tablescape, I thought I would share 😉 I used a tablecloth and napkins that I already had, my china settings (wedding gift put to good use!) on silver Target chargers, florals I purchased from Whole Foods and HEB that I arranged in boxes bought at Round Top, and little eggs and fuzzy chicks as accents (Michael’s and Hobby Lobby). I thought it came together pretty well, if I do say so myself!
I hope you all had a wonderful Easter! xoxo
