Wowee the day is nearly over! So I figured I better get this Thread up before the day just passes me right on by…
1. CDP News. Things are starting to slow down now that summer is around the corner and the temps are starting their climb (not to mention that notorious humidity that goes with it). But one thing that’s hotter than the weather is our Halfway to the Holiday mini sessions, being announced in just a few weeks! I am putting the final touches on dates and locations, so be sure to follow CDP on Facebook and here on the blog for the very latest on sign ups. They sure go fast and once they’re gone, that’s it for minis this year!
2. Favorites List. It’s been a while since I have shared some of my new favorites with you guys so I thought it was a good time to dish out my picks. First, R+F foaming sunless tanner. It is legit the best sunless tanner I have ever used and I find myself grabbing the bottle every time I need a little tint 🙂 It smells great, is easy to apply, and works every single time. And while I’m in the medicine cabinet, we have to talk oils. Y’all, I know I have mentioned how much I am loving essential oils these days but I am REALLY loving them. I got a major sunburn at our beach trip last week and a little coconut oil and lavender mix cleared it right up in less than 24hrs. No peeling, no burning. Just a nice tan. I have seen them work their magic on my family and I cannot get enough of them. Wanna join in learning more about how essential oils can help your family? I am thinking of having a little info session for my pals who are interested in learning more about using essential oils as a natural and safe way to replace many medicines and artificial substances that take over our medicine cabinets. Shoot me a message! And last on my favorites list: Living Proof hair products (co-owned by the hair goddess herself, Jen Aniston). I recently tried out some of their stuff and OH MY GOSH I LOVE it. LOVE. It smells divine and seriously made my hair feel amazing. I am currently loving their Root Lifting Spray and Hair Spray. Get some, y’all.
3. Beachy. Last week, we took Bree to Galveston for the first time and oh my gosh y’all it was awesome. Not only did my little love look adorable in her little swimsuit and hat, but she was loving all of the sights and sounds — seagulls, the crash of the waves, people and puppies strolling by, and the sand. Oh the sand. She really liked it after taking some time getting used to it (and sampling it a time or two). I have it all on camera and will be sharing some of my favorite images with you soon 🙂 The weather was perfect for us and since I know it won’t be like that for long, we soaked it up and in a much-needed day away. We even brought our own food and tunes to the beach so we could stay as long as possible (such a good idea with a little one in tow). Bree really seemed to enjoy it as much as we did and wore herself out, crashing before we could even pull out of the parking lot. Of course, we had to make a stop for ice cream at La King’s Confectionary before heading home — the perfect end to a perfect beach day. We want to go back asap, so Im curious if you guys have any recommendations for things to do with little ones, or if hanging at the beach is just as good as anything else we could possibly plan up 🙂
4. Thread Tunes. I am so ready for summer to get here, and the song that makes me feel like welcoming in the next season has got to be Paramore’s Ain’t it Fun. It’s a windows-down, volume-up kind of tune, perfect for warmer weather, longer days, and summertime shenanigans 🙂 Bring. It. On.
5. Sneak Peek. In the spirit of graduation, next week I am going to share the sessions I did with three very photogenic seniors. I can’t believe another school year is on its way out y’all! Here is a peek at one of the  sessions hitting the blog next week:
