1. CDP Reno. I have been working with the lovely ladies at Papellerie to give my brand a little facelift and will be able to share some fresh new looks with you guys very soon, including the new Thread logo I’ve been promising. The OCD, controlling person in me was working on creating the design myself but we just have way too much going on and my to-do list was getting out of control, so I got smart and called in the experts. I love everything that comes out of the Papellerie studio and have enjoyed seeing my vision come to life through their talents and with their unique input. I can’t wait to share the final designs with you guys!! The brand update will accompany some exciting changes for CDP as well — how’s that for a cliffhanger???
2. Three Cheers for Chatbooks. How many of us use our phones for taking 50%+ of the images in our lives? I know I do. It’s like a daily (almost) diary of life’s little happenings and much easier to organize and view all of the snapshots in one spot. The only problem is that I rarely do much with them after I hit the ‘share’ button. The people at Chatbooks saw this dilemma and created an ap that allows you to print your Instagram feed in 60-page volumes for only $6! Free shipping too!! It’s only available for iPhone right now but they say that an Android version will be out coming soon. How awesome?? I was introduced to this company via my Instagram feed when learning about how your Instagram account can get deleted without notice (hence your memories and cherished photos vanish into thin air; read more here about one photographer’s gut-wrenching experience) and I am very excited that a company like this exists. The books look like they are incredible quality, and you can set it to automatically print your book every time you post 60 images, or you can select them on your own. They’re adorable and so convenient for the busy Instagrammer who doesn’t have much time to create albums/scrapbooks all the time. And for $6 a book, why not try it and at least have your images somewhere you can look at them and admire your photos? There’s no guarantee that our social media accounts will always be there, and this is a lovely option for safeguarding your images.
3. We’re Finally Going! I am embarrassed to think about how many trips we’ve attempted to plan over the past few years, without seeing any of them to fruition. I didn’t want to let another opportunity pass us by so the Davis’ are leavin’ on a jet plane, y’all! In the last Thread, I told you we were thinking of Sedona and I am proud to say it’s officially booked 🙂 I am already daydreaming about the views, the relaxing resort and spa, and the yummy food. We love going new places and trying new things, and this will definitely be a new experience for us. I am most excited about seeing the Grand Canyon, visiting the Chapel of the Holy Cross, and the spa…ahhh 🙂 Oh, and the photo opportunities are sure to be incredible. Troy is probably excited about the world class golf courses and getting to sleep in 🙂 Be sure to follow me on Instagram (@chelsea12) if you want to follow along on our adventure before it inevitably ends up here!
4. Oh Baby. We went to the mecca for all things baby last weekend — Buy Buy Baby — to buy miss Bree a bigger carseat (ahhh!) and I just have to say that they are the best, hands down. Maybe I have already mentioned it on the Thread, but I had to share it with you again in case you didn’t know how wonderful that place is 🙂 Whether you’re a momma yourself or have friends/family with kiddos, it is the place to get, well, anything for the little ones. Soooo many options, and they take all competitors coupons (including the 20% off coupons from their sister store Bed Bath and Beyond). We saved over $60 bucks on Bree’s car seat, y’all! Just by pulling up a Toys R Us coupon on my phone. I love a good deal and this place has definitely got ’em, along with the best selections and brands and customer service — I could write a whole post just on their awesome staff. Do yourselves a favor and check with them before buying anything, especially the big items. You will not be disappointed 🙂
5. Thread Tune. Just listen to the words. Or better yet, read them. That’s what has me hooked on Florida Georgia Line’s newest song Dirt. I love listening to it, and there aren’t many songs that really make me listen. The lyrics remind me of the days I spent as a kid playing on a ball field and making mud pies with my sisters, and the good ol college days in Lubbock (there is a LOT of dirt in west Texas, y’all). Wherever I am, when this song comes on, I can’t help but slow down a bit and just listen. It’s a good one 😉
6. Sneak Peek. I will be sharing this little guy’s newborn session very soon. Isn’t he precious?!
