1. Mother’s Day Giveaway.Ā I hope you’re following along on Instagram where I am giving away a session for one lucky mama, in honor of Mother’s Day and all of you awesome women š Whether your kiddos are grown with kids of their own, still in diapers, or a tiny littleĀ beanĀ still in your tummy, this giveaway is for you. Or, you can nominate another special mom in your life. There is no limit to how many people you can enter into the giveaway, so head over to Instagram (@chelseadavisphotography) and look at the details for your shot at a free (and very fun!) session. I happen to think it would make an awesome Mother’s Day gift š
2.Ā Stitch Fix.Ā I signed up for my very first Stitch Fix delivery this month and was really looking forward to sharing the experience with you guys! The process is really easy and very thorough — you can even link to your Pinterest board(s) to share examples of the kinds of clothes/styles you like, giving your stylist a great idea of what you’re interested in. You set your own delivery schedule and then viola! A pretty box arrives on your doorstep with five carefully curated pieces of clothing for you to try. Dresses, blouses, jeans, vests, it could be anything! That’s perhaps the most fun in this process, seeing what your stylist picks for you. I received a beautiful sapphire-colored dress, a distressed pair of grey jeans, a flowy tank, a sleek black blouse, and a denim vest, all of various price points. I wasn’t crazy aboutĀ a few of the pieces but a few were winners and overall, it was a great start. I especially love how I can send back what I don’t want to keep (free shipping!) and only get charged for the pieces that I do. It’s so much fun already and I am eagerly awaiting my next ‘fix’ š Check it out if you think it’s something you’d like to try, and if you don’t mind, use my affiliate link here!
3. Shiplap. Just kidding. This section hasĀ nothing to do with shiplap š But it has everything to do with Magnolia Market, and if you are a fan of HGTV’s Fixer Upper like I am, you’ll get the reference. On a recent trip to DFW, I realized we were nearing Waco and I convinced Troy to detour into town so I could finally check outĀ Magnolia Market, the adorable shoppe owned by Chip and Joanna Gaines. I. Was. Pumped. As I expected, there were plenty of fans out front snapping pics on their phones (guilty!), but it wasn’t as crowded as I thought and I was really impressed with the selection of items that seemed to be hand-picked by the ‘fixer-uppers’ themselves. Everything was so cute and perfectly imperfect.Ā Despite my kid-in-a-candy-store excitement over it all, I managedĀ to pass on the big ticket pieces that caught my eyeĀ because Troy would have killed me…and because we didn’t have any room in the car. I did snag some perfect Mother’s Day gifts for the ladies in my life though, and may have doubled up on a few things for yours truly. Maybe. If you’re passing through Waco, you should definitely stop in, or at least check out their online store, where you can buy this cool shirt š
4. Sneak Peek.Ā I finished editing the last of these photos last night and am planning to post them here tomorrow; until then, here’s a peek…
