With the temperatures on the rise, I am dreaming about summer, with its long days full of sunshine and popsicles and playing in the sprinklers, and late evenings spent outside with a cold drink and a good tune (we can do without the mosquitos though, amIright? ). Summer also means that Bree will have another birthday, turning two in June — eep! When did that happen? She is the most fun ever right now though, talking up a storm, exploring everything from dog-fur-dustbunnies to the inner workings of my iPhone (when swiped from my purse), and having an opinion on everything. Age two will surely come with its share of crazy but gah I am loving this age so far! We are planning a chill birthday party for her next month and I feel like we picked a very trendy theme after seeing all of the summer styles that are coming out in fashion and entertaining 😉
1. High Fives. It’s been a while since I have done a series of virtual high-fives for things that I am loving these days and I have a few products that are really blowing me away so I figured I would share them! First high five: H&M. Their clothes are always so cute but the kids’ stuff is ridiculously cute. I just bought Bree some updated stuff for summer and everything is adorable but also super affordable. Win win! Second high five goes to doTerra’s CorrectX Ointment for pretty much being my fix-all for everything; from scrapes and burns to dry hands and feet, and most recently, the ONLY remedy for a disastrous toe situation that resulted from dropping a heavy bottle on my foot. It was so gross and painful, but CorrectX has nearly healed it in a matter of days, y’all. Lemme know if you want some! And last, high fives all around to my new mascara from Makeup Forever. I can wear nothing else on my face but that one product and it works wonders for my “Im tired but DON’T need to look it” makeup goal I aim for most mornings 😉
2. Spring Cleaning (again). Having to shuffle a lot of the stuff in our house from one room to the next as we tackle home reno projects has revealed a major problem: we have a lot of crap. Okay maybe it’s not crap but it’s stuff that we don’t NEED. Did you hear that? I am pretty sure Troy just gasped in disbelief at what I just said. No, I am not pregnant, but I am feeling a major nesting bug itching at me to declutter and get organized so that’s my goal for the next few weeks. Sadly, but necessarily, that also means I will be selling some of my photography stuff that I just haven’t used in a while (or stuff that I have too much of), like camera bags, a few lenses, props, etc. If you are in the market for something, let me know! I will post all business-related items on FB or Instagram as I get ready to purge 🙂
3. Thread Tune. Mumford and Sons released a new album last week and although I am missing the folky banjo-strumming sounds that made them so awesome to listen to, I am digging their new, more alt-rock stuff. Only Love is making a frequent appearance on my playlist (it’s the only track that sounds like the old stuff to me, ha!) — and in true M&S fashion, I love the lyrics — so I wanted to share it with ya today.
