By far the hardest part in waiting to find out the gender of our new little one was creating a neutral nursery. I always had a feeling that we would be welcoming a baby girl into our family, so I leaned a little more toward the feminine side when curating this room but I tried to keep it as neutral as possible… just in case 😉
My eye kept going toward tones of peach, soft greens, taupes, tans, and crisp white which I think mixed well together. I also loved adding in a variety natural textures with different wood tones, yarn accessories, a chunky rug and pillow, and cozy blankets.
One of my favorite things to use when decorating a space in my home is art pieces from our travels. I purchased the adorable Dumbo illustration on our recent trip to Disneyland when I was just about 12 weeks along, and it is the cutest thing ever. I also added in a small painting from our trip to Paris, a hedgehog print from our 30A vacation, and a pen and ink drawing from Washington DC to go on the bookshelf. There are a few nostalgic things in this room too, like my great grandmother’s pull-toy that is hanging on the wall shelves.
I am still trying to pull a few things together to make it just so, like sourcing the perfect art for above the crib, but I couldn’t wait to share it with you guys so here it is! Miss Hallie’s neutral nursery:
